Samsung has a knack for launching new editions of its smartphones. The Rio Olympics 2016 is round the corner and the south-Korean company is gearing up for its newest launch, the Galaxy S7 Edge Olympics edition, ahead of the game.
Three month ago, there were reports by SamMobile that Samsung will launch a Galaxy S7 Edge Olympic edition, but in a newly released report via @evleaks on Twitter, rumors about the exclusive edition has only become stronger.
Evan Blass is known for making accurate prediction, but it remains to be seen whether his forecast regarding the Olympic version of Galaxy S7 Edge turns true this time.
The purported phone is likely to appear in all black with green, red, yellow and blue colors representing the essence of the game. Boasting a sleek look, the phone will come with a sophisticated design with golden trims surrounding the home button. A similar blue trimming is found encircling the flash and camera on the rear side of the device.
Now, why it is a special Olympic edition, is evident from a blue-colored logo of the international game, which is positioned on the back side of the phone towards the lower edge. Another latest rumor doing the rounds in the media clearly states that Samsung might be working on a VR Olympics apps. However, nothing can be confirmed yet unless the company announces officially, CNET reported.
Other details point out that the Olympic edition will probably come packed with Olympic-themed wallpapers, ringtones and content. While the buzz is strong regarding the release of the Olympic version of S7 Edge soon in the market, it is not know whether manufacturers are looking forward to selling the product to the public or just sell it to athletes participating in the game.
A few days ago, Samsung released another special version, the Injustice edition of the Galaxy S7 Edge. Molded in dark color, the gold bat icon mounted on the back expresses the Batman story.
Not just its look, but the device speaks blatantly about the superhero story as represented by its dark skin and gold icons. What's intriguing is that the phone has a ringtone of the theme song of "Injustice: Gods among us".
