"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" is going to get its first ever multiplayer expansion next week. Game Developer Naughty Dog has announced that the add-on will come along with a new patch and will arrive on June 29, just before it exposes the tech that makes "Uncharted 4" great at Siggraph 2016 in July.
In a blog post, the developer said that the expansion includes things like a new map and "updates to the multiplayer that 'Uncharted 4' fans have been asking for." There are more expected features like boosters, taunts, guns, skins and extra elements in the form of custom loadout names and matches.
What is more, the DLC will include a "revamp" to the ranked team deathmatch mode. Players who own "Uncharted 4" Triple pack will get extra items during the update as well. As disclosed by The Six Thaxis, "Uncharted 4" DLC content will not rule out bonus fixes and features, something that may make the whole package a hefty one.
Just before the major update, Naughty Dog plans to showcase "Uncharted 4's" new content in a Twitch broadcast on June 28, starting at 11:30 AM PST / 2:30 PM EST. A second live stream will, then, proceed on June 30, where the multiplayer team will give a "deep dive" into the death-match changes.
In related updates, "Uncharted 4" players are eagerly waiting for the developer's major revelation about the game during Siggraph 2016. The event will happen between July 24 and July 28 in Anaheim, California, and will include the Technical Art of "Uncharted 4."
"Uncharted 4" was released on May 10 and sold over 2.7 million copies in the first week alone. In some reviews, the game was awarded a perfect score and if not, it still got an unmatched approval compared to other new games.
It has continued to dominate top world charts with unrivaled gameplay and impressive graphics. According to critics, the main reason behind "Uncharted 4's" success is its ability to produce a more artistic entertainment coupled with thrilling gameplay, which is based on a commendable platforming.
