The upcoming "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will be expanding its roster of characters as Old Kai, the Time Patroller, will be one of the playable characters. He is enlisted at the Time Patrol as a new recruit and players will be able to use him in a variety of missions.
Additional details have already been hinted by creator Misayuki Hirano. When asked about the major difference between "Xenoverse" and "Xenoverse 2," Hirano quickly explained that as developers they are trying to deliver a sequel that would give users a different gaming experience. He said that this was also their basic objective when they first created the original game, RPG Site reported.
One of the biggest changes for the upcoming installment is the improvement of its online features which Hirano said must be maximized by players. According to him, they are trying to make the online experience richer.
He also talked about the new hub which is larger than the Toki Toki City. Although he did not elaborate much on it, he said that players will be able to do many online gameplay and a lot of people interaction.
When asked about the roster's balancing, Hirano was quick to say there are obviously stronger and weaker characters. What they were trying to do, according to him, is to implement balancing schemes which would apply at a certain range. Through this, players will be able to beat other opponents regardless which character they use.
In terms of character rosters, a recent report surfaced stating that an additional character will be added in the game's line-up of protagonists. Old Kai, the Time Patroller, will be playable in the upcoming installment. He will be usable in accomplishing a variety of missions as a newly recruited Time Patroller, Gematsu reported.
Since "Dragon Ball Super" is an on-going anime series, inclusion of its characters in the "Xenoverse 2" was brought up as well. Hirano said that it takes time to create new characters and it may take a while to include one which may not align with the game's release. However, he said that it may be possible if they first release the game then include additional characters from "Dragon Ball Super" right after.
"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will be launched in PS4, Xbox One and PC. To get more details on the upcoming game, watch the video clip below.
