Zachary Quinto has made clear that he did not really slap a kid on the new NBC TV mini-series "The Slap."
"The thing that was the most important for everybody was the well-being and the safety of the kids," Quinto said during a panel at the Television Critics Association conference, where he was asked about a scene in which his character slaps his misbehaving nephew, Washington Post reported.
Moreover, Quinto said he was really impressed with how their assistant director team handled the scene, and they apparently had to do it repetitively but their "isolated the moment of the slap."
Quinto is also set to appear in the 2016 film "Star Trek 3" with Chris Pine, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, John Cho, Simon Pegg and "Guardians of the Galaxy" actress Zoe Saldana.
In 2014, Saldana shared some experiences she had with the filming summer movie, in which she played the comic book character Gamora, which was green from head to toe so the actress's puppy Mugsy could not avoid the green paint while following her on set every day.
"She's on my lap as I'm getting all the makeup done and I would put a towel over her because she's salt and pepper. All the spray paint would be in the air and land on Mugs," Saldana told E! News. "We would paint all these little green Mohawks on her. My dog was green!"
Saldana also revealed when she got home from filming "Guardians of the Galaxy," her husband and mother "would have a bath just ready" for her.
