The newest season of "Grey's Anatomy" has a lot in store for its fans. For one, "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 has hinted about a possible relationship between main character Meredith Grey and Dr. Nathan Riggs. It is starting to become obvious that Meredith clearly has feelings for Nathan, and while this is good for Grey's love department, it's not looking too good for her sister department, as her sister Dr. Maggie Pierce is also setting her eye on Dr. Riggs.
Would this mean that a sister feud is underway for the two in "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13? Uh oh, more hospital drama, according to the Parent Herald.
In past episodes, viewers have seen Nathan and Meredith go through a few problems together, but fans of the show's "ship" are hopeful that the two characters will find ways to fix their differences and strengthen their relationship with each other.
With this budding relationship, could it be possible that Meredith is now trying to reconnect with the people around her?
It was also seen in previous episodes that Meredith has significantly detached herself from everybody as a coping mechanism for the death of Dr. Derek Shepherd. Perhaps, her newfound feelings for Dr. Riggs may be a sign that Grey has truly moved on, and is now ready to make new memories in her life. However, would this new beginning be worth the sister feud with Dr. Pierce?
In other "Grey's Anatomy" news, Kevin McKidd has confirmed his return in the show as Dr. Owen Hunt, according to the Inquisitor. He was recently seen in an Instagram photo on Sandra Oh's account, sparking rumors that Oh might also be set to return on the show and Christina Yang. It can be remembered that the two used to be on-screen husband and wife, with their marriage challenged by many trials, but ultimately ending in a separation. Owen ended up wedding Amelia Shepherd in Season 12, and the last we've seen of Christina Yang was in 2014.
Fans have until September to keep guessing and making theories, as "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 is slated to make its return on ABC this fall on Sept. 22.
