"Together again... Gee, it's good to be together again," NSYNC official Twitter wrote earlier today. Hashtagged with #SNL40, the "Saturday Night Live" 40th anniversary special is airing on Feb. 15 on NBC.
The former NSYNC member and "SNL" host Justin Timberlake is among the initial wave of musicians and actors to join the special celebration in Rockefeller Plaza. Timberlake was last seen on stage with his boy band when he was awarded with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award during the MTV Video Music Awards 2013.
Another big hint that suggests an NSync reunion on "SNL" is a another tweet from Chris Kirkpartrick, a group member. On Valentines day he tweeted," My day so far, friend ran over my foot early flight to NYC canceled, but sitting at the bar with my favorite person in the world makes it ok!," and tweeted again a few hours after, saying "Still going! Made it to NYC! but now @Delta left our bags with tux for tomorrows event and got in too late for NBA dunk contest."
The list of all-star guests for the special includes Jack White, Arcade Fire, Kanye West, Paul McCartney, Billy Crystal, Melissa McCarthy, Kerry Washington, Betty White, Derek Jeter, James Franco, Paul Rudd, Taylor Swift, and Bradley Cooper.
The audience could also expect former "SNL" cast members Andy Samberg, Maya Rudolph, Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Eddie Murphy, Kristen Wiig, Seth Meyers, Chevy Chase, Adam Sandler, Amy Poehler, Mike Myers, and Molly Shannon.
"SNL" was first called the "NBC's Saturday Night" in its first season and premiered on Oct. 11, 1975 with a comedian host in the person of George Carlin with Janis and Billy Preston as the first guests.
