Incoming head coach Antonio Conte is managing the Italian national team well in the ongoing Euro 2016 and he is expected to bring his fire with him at the Stamford Bridge once he finally takes over the reins in Chelsea this summer.
The 46-year-old mentor is said to have been provided a huge £150 million transfer warchest by the Blues this offseason and a lot of big names are rumored to be headed to Fulham once the summer signings begin.
Here are some of the latest reports and speculations:
Blues still wants Alvaro Morata regardless of Real Madrid transfer. The 23-year-old Spanish striker allegedly remains in the top summer targets of Conte despite being moved from Juventus to Real Madrid last week.
Los Blancos activated their buyout clause to reclaim Morata from the Old Lady, costing them €30 million in the process. Reports were out that they are now intending to sell him for €78.5 million, which said to have turned off other bidders such Manchester United.
The Mirror indicated that both Chelsea and Arsenal "remain interested in the marksman who has netted twice for his country at Euro2016 and helped Juve to clinch a fifth successive Italian title".
Juanma Lopez, Morata's agent, recently disclosed that his client is not fond of settling in Madrid if it means that he will spend most of his time on the bench.
Real is loaded up front with superstars Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, and Karim Benzema definite at their spots in Zinedine's Zidane's front three while Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, and Casemiro lords the midfield in the 4-3-3 formation.
Jese, Isco, and James Rodriguez will also be above Morata in Madrid's current pecking order and so the 6-foot-2 striker is sure to be left wanting if he will not be able to leave the Bernabéu soonest.
Radja Nainggolan transfer bid to Stamford Bridge remains fruitless. Roma had rejected Chelsea's second bid of €40 million for the 28-year-old Belgian midfielder and a third bid is said to be on its way this summer, as per Caught Offside.
Rumors have emerged that Conte is getting frustrated about trying to snare Nainggolan that he may be targeting the Belgium international's midfield partner in the national team, Zenit's Axel Witsel, instead.
While the latter is evidently inferior to the Roma star at this point of their careers, Conte is said to be liking him as a "contingency plan" if the Serie A club will not give in to selling their ward.
