Bethesda just updated their Fallout 4 mods website with new features that would help both modders and downloaders to access mods easier and faster thanks to the new stats, version numbers and more.
Fallout 4 mods have been a great help in pushing the popularity of the open-world RPG shooter forward even several months after its release. Mods allow players to experience the wasteland in a different perspective or experience a very different wasteland altogether.
Some mods alter the player's looks and weapons. Others can alter game mechanics such as the No Negative Affinity mod that makes it easier for players to make choices as it would not affect any NPC negatively in terms of their relationship with the player.
Bethesda now includes abilities for Fallout 4 mod creators to moderate comments on their mods and to edit the version number with their own custom names, GameSpot has learned. They can also now report if their mods were stolen or pirated by others on the Internet, which has become a rampant issue with the introduction of console Fallout 4 mods for the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.
Since the Internet is full of trolls, Bethesda now allows mod creators to moderate the comments section on their mods. This tool would help creators to filter the otherwise damaging comments from abusive and toxic users in the Fallout 4 community.
Another highlight in the Bethesda Fallout 4 mods website is the ability for creators to add the required dependencies on the detail pages of their mods, VG247 reported. The feature has already been implemented long before on Nexus Mods as they warn players before using a mod with a prerequisite for another separate mod.
Creators of mods can only upload their mods to the official site if they have a Steam-linked Bethesda.net account in the first place. They would also need to own the Fallout 4 game on their Steam accounts for them to be able to share their work with the community.
Bethesda is still fixing the PlayStation 4 Fallout 4 mods as there are various issues with regards to the sound and texture files. PC Fallout 4 modding is still widely available through the official Bethesda mods website or at Nexus Mods.
