Capcom will release a new "Street Fighter V" campaign that will add two characters, namely flying ninja Ibuki and Balrog, to the game. Taking cues from "Mortal Kombat's" fleshed out single player adventure, the campaign is expected to bridge the narrative gap between the "Street Fighter IV" and "Street Fighter III."
According to PlayStation website, the new "Street Fighter V" expansion will depict the ultimate battle between heroic World Warriors and the evil Shadaloo organization, which stands against them. In the gameplay, seven "Black Moons" are used by Shadaloo, giving M. Bison unimaginable power, as earth falls into darkness.
After seeing the moons disappear in the sky, Ken, Ryu, and Chun-Li start a heroic journey to retrieve the fragment pieces that are the answer to unravelling the power of the "Black Moons." They then encounter the rest of the World Warriors along the way, who have different motivations and agendas. This is the beginning of the battle between good and evil.
"Street Fighter V: A Shadow Falls" will represent one of the largest DLC that Capcom has ever released in the "Street Fighter V" series. It will also be the first time that two DLC characters will be available for download at the same time in the fifth installment.
Besides bringing some of the most esteemed characters in the "Street Fighter" fraternity, the DLC will also be solving the initial complaint about the story mode. Earlier, gamers had voiced their concerns over "SFV's" lack of a single-player story mode, which Capcom seemed to have taken into account.
According to LazyGamer, "A Shadow Falls" is currently available for download ahead of its launch for PlayStation players. The file comes in a size of 7.4 GB and can be accessed from the PlayStation store.
Meanwhile, scheduled maintenance will shut down "Street Fighter 5" servers for 10 hours on June 30. During this time, online modes of the games will become unusable until the maintenance break is over. Gamers, however, project that the downtime may be less due to instances in the past when Capcom used less time than projected.
