The NBA trade front could also gain some buzz despite the free agent frenzy that's about to erupt hours away.

One team that's desperate to get a big name point guard is the Houston Rockets. They do not have too many options their way through free agency and they might have to make a trade.

Eric Bledsoe is a guard who can score and would fit the Rockets need. With Mike D'Antoni at the helm, Bledsoe could thrive and pile up the stats.

There were reports that Bledsoe is one the move and while Suns coach Earl Watson made the statement that they have not shopped Bledsoe, (h/t Bleacher Report), there are sectors who believe it's a good move for the franchise.

"We have to retain key guys, character guys. Never once was Bledsoe's name even brought up in our war rooms. So, where that's coming from, I don't know. Maybe another team wants (Suns players), and that's a compliment to our roster and to our guys," Watson said through Sirius XM NBA Radio.

Still, when experts from ESPN Insider discussed the future of the Phoenix Suns, it was one of the suggested moves. Bledsoe, despite his spotty injury history, averaged 21 points per game last season and is under a reasonable contract (considering the salary cap increase) until 2019. His trade value is very high at this point and ESPN Insider Tom Haberstroh called for Bledsoe to be moved.

"Forget about the playoffs and unload Bledsoe, P.J. Tucker and Chandler to contenders. This is a rebuild. Devin Booker is still a teenager who won't hit his prime for another half-decade, and the same goes for Bender. Short-term goals should be about maximizing the long term," Haberstroh stated.

There are not a lot of young prospects from Houston. Possibly a sign-and-trade with Donatas Motiejunas or Trevor Ariza (but he is older than a rebuild piece) and future first round picks.

Thomas Duffy of Bleacher Report also thought it is necessary for Bledsoe to move because of the logjam at the backcourt.

"The Suns have six players in the backcourt all fighting for playing time. Shooting guard Devin Booker had a stellar campaign that landed him on the All-Rookie First Team, so he figures to get the lion's share of minutes at the 2," Duffy said.

Because of that, Brandon Knight, Bledsoe, Archie Goodwin and Tyler Ulis will all have to contend for minutes. Trading Bledsoe could clear that up and add talent at the frontcourt.
