Recent updates confirm that "Iron Man 4" may actually happen, although its exact release date is still uncertain. It is said that the fourth sequel of the franchise would take some time before it will hit the big screens.
According to Parent Herald, if ever Marvel pushes through with the fourth instalment of the "Iron Man," there is a possibility that it would be the last time that fans would see Robert Downey Jr. reprising his role as Tony Stark.
It is believed that "Iron Man" would not be released until 2020, and by the time that the movie hits the big screens, RDJ would already be 55-years-old. However, during an interview with the actor, he mentioned that he is still unsure how long he is going to wear the Iron Man's suit. He also did not confirm if he is going to be part of the "Iron Man 4," but he stated that "I don't know how long I'll do it for...I'll keep playing Iron Man for a couple more years, I guess," the Daily Star quoted Downey Jr. as saying.
According to the same publication, "Iron Man 4" may begin where "Captain America: Civil War" ended. The ending of the movie saw Tony Stark was left alone, and according to some speculations, the fourth instalment of "Iron Man" may also focus on the troubled romance between Pepper and Tony.
Although all of the reports are just merely rumors, Marvel hasn't given any confirmation just yet.
In other news, according to HNGN, Marvel may also be considering other actors, or even an actress, to replace RDJ for the upcoming "Iron Man" movie.
Rumors claim that Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff (played by Scarlett Johansson) may take the lead and wear Iron Man's suit in "Iron man 4." Marvel did not release any statement about this possibility just yet, although a lot of fans are already opposing the idea.
Fans stated that no one could give justice to Tony Stark's character other than RDJ himself. Other fans also claims that the movie would not be the same without Downey Jr. in it.
