Ludwig posted a still of himself and captioned "Back at it #work #Vikings." The actor appeared uncompromising with blood streaming down his face. Winnick, on the other hand, is seen standing in the middle of many extras that play the residents of Kattegat. The group happily shouts in a chorus, "Welcome back to Season 5 of Vikings!"

Clive Standen, who plays Rollo, unveiled in an interview with Digital Spy that he will miss shooting of the first few episodes of Season 5. Standen as well features in NBC's new CIA-themed show titled "Taken," which appears to overlap with the filming schedule of "Vikings."

"I'm going to be doing 'Taken' until October time and I'm going to pick up and re-join the 'Vikings' team later on in season five," Standen said. "I'm going straight from Toronto back to Dublin, so it's a good problem to have!"

With regard to the storyline, avid fans should expect many twists and turns in the remaining 10 episodes of Season 4B. In fact, Hirst said via History Extra that he has not "been scratching around for a storyline" and he has no problem with the raw material since they deal with a very rich area of history.

The development team is dealing with the outburst of the Vikings into Western Europe, Iceland, Greenland, and finally into the Mediterranean. According to the creator, there is still a long way to go, and he would wish that they continue until the Vikings discover America.

"Vikings" Season 4B is rumored to air later this year. Here is a sneak peek for more information on the imminent second part of Season 4:
