Avid players of horror survival video games will be happy with the latest news. Telltale Games has recently unveiled its launch trailer for the PS4 and Xbox One version of "7 Days to Die" that features scenes reminiscent of AMC's hit TV series "The Walking Dead."
The game developer's "7 Ways to Die" is a survival game where players are tasked to horde materials and craft a structure that will protect them from a zombie attack, Attack of the Fanboy reported. Telltale Games' launch video even features a unique combination of real life action and in-game shots. It begins with a shot of a man collecting wooden pallets and other building materials in a forest during the daytime.
Upon collecting enough materials, he proceeds with building a small shack while looking around his surroundings. The video's shot turns to night and the man finds several zombies near his shack. In a classic "The Walking Dead" scene, the zombies approach the shack to try and capture the man hiding inside the small structure.
The next few scenes in the "7 Ways to Die" launch trailer then feature clips from the game. Similar to the real life action portion of the video, the in-game scenes displayed the building action of the game. It also unveiled some of the zombies that players may find in the Telltale Game's survival hoarding title.
The game has also been described as a first shooter game where players would need to defend their tower or structure, as well as their characters, as indicated in the same report. Apart from building and shooting zombies, gamers can also do some mining and looting to get needed materials.
Telltale Games' "7 Ways to Die" was first launched in December 2013 through Steam for PC. The game's PC version is currently included in Steam's summer sale for only $9.99, according to Bloody Disgusting. The game's PS4 and Xbox One version features new community events such as the "Blood Moon." The developer also promised to add more multiplayer modes in future updates.
"7 Ways to Die" was released on Friday, July 1, for PS4 and Xbox One.
