Electronic music producer Deadmau5 and Absolut Vodka partnered up to create a new virtual reality game called "Absolut Deadmau5." The upcoming VR game will have a limited-edition headset included for those who are interested.

Joel Zimmerman, the DJ's true name, wanted his fans to get a glimpse into the life of the producer with the help of their VR game, according to Mashable. He partnered with the digital media site of Absolut called Absolut Labs to create this unique type of video game. It mixes real footage of his concerts and production with different features like running, driving, and rhythm minigames.

According to Polygon, the VR video game will also come with a special cardboard headset, which was designed by the producer. The virtual reality headset is priced $17.95, and it will feature his signature mouse helmet, which will be located on the front of it and his cat on the side. For those who are interested in purchasing one of the limited-edition headsets, they can visit Knoxlabs' website.

Before the main game starts, players will get to visit Zimmerman's beautiful home studio as he finishes up a new track. They will not be able to interact with anything in this particular scene, and they can only observe how he does his job in his studio. After a few minutes, the main game will then start off with fully interactive CGI third person view.

The main game will start in the DJ's garage, where they can play with his pet cat called Meowingtons. The cat, which is carved out of the Cardboard, will guide the players to his vehicle to set off, and enter a racing minigame going to a gig in the city's core. After the different challenges, they will be standing next to him in the booth to enjoy his latest track called "Saved."

The driving minigame is actually part of the different aspects of the DJ's life, which was driving through the streets of Toronto in his infamous sports car. Players will also visit the different venues he has played in during his gigs, and they will also experience how he interacts with his fans and his fellow DJs.

The mobile app will be launched on July 27, and it will be available on iOS and Android mobile devices. For those who want to preorder the limited-edition headset, they will have to place an order on July 8 to ensure they have one when the app is released.
