"Game of Thrones" (GoT) Season 7 is expected to air next year. Considering previous seasons' schedule, episode 1 is expected to go on air in late April 2017. In the meantime, speculations and rumoured spoilers are making the rounds.
While it's too early to expect concrete plot details for Season 7, one thing is certain that Emilia Clarke (Daenerys), Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), Lena Headey (Cersei), Sophie Turner (Sansa), Maisie Williams (Arya), Kit Harington (Jon Snow) will return. Also, George R.R. Martin's final book "The Winds of Winter" in "A Song of Ice and Fire" series is rumoured to be the basis of the upcoming episodes' storylines. However, some deviations are expected.
Also, Season 7 is said to be shorter than previous seasons of "Game of Thrones" (GoT). In an interview with Vanity Fair, show's director Jack Bender said that Season 7 may consist of only seven episodes.
"I don't know the answer to that. They're only doing seven (episodes), and they've got their regulars who have done it forever," Bender told the publication.
In addition, The Hollywood Reporter is speculating that Season 7 will see a war between Daenerys and Cersei. At the same time, expect a war between two kings in the north of Westeros, Jon Snow and the ancient Night King.
