News broke out this week that the Chinese jailbreaking team Pangu is currently working to unlock iOS 10 for iPhone and iPad users, signaling too that the latest build of iOS 9 or iOS 9.3.2 has been jailbroken. Reports said that release date of the latest JB tool is all but confirmed this July.
Forbes said that Pangu is likely to provide the new jailbreak anytime between July 4 and 8. "The tool will be released and could land within a week," Forbes reported, adding that Pangu developers have indicated during the Mobile Security Conference (MOSEC) held in Shanghai that works on the iPhone and iPad unlocking tools are indeed underway.
As testament to the progress of its work, Pangu even showed off Cydia running on iOS 10 beta, which somehow hinted that the team is ready to jailbreak the operating system the moment it is finalized by Apple.
But before iOS 10, users will have free access to iOS 9.3.2 jailbreak and the likelihood is the JB tool will see action prior to the iOS 9.3.3 rollout. According to Techno Buffalo, the latter is already in the fourth beta version and that signals that the actual build could touchdown in the next few days, which essentially confirmed that 9.3.2 jailbreak is coming within the period mentioned above.
Another solid proof that a new public jailbreak is due to arrive real soon is Pangu's reported statement that exploits indeed are present on iOS 9.3.2, thus giving the team entry points to work on.
However, the jailbreak team from China is yet to confirm anything on its release schedule. It was blogger Stephen Chan who shared the info that "the Pangu team will release the current iOS 9.3.2 jailbreak very soon within the week," Techno Buffalo added on its report.
In any case, jailbreak fans must note that Apple is likely to issue iOS 9.3.3 before jailbreak 9.3.2 is made public. Best thing to do in such a scenario is to keep a safe distance from the software update as installing it will certainly result to a jailbreak lockout - meaning jailbreak 9.3.2 will not run on iOS devices with 9.3.3 inside them.
As for iPhone and iPad users still on iOS below 9.3.2, Forbes recommends jumping to the latest official build if part of the plan is to eventually jailbreak. "If you're desperate to get your hands on the latest features, you could consider upgrading to iOS 9.3.2," the report said.
