"Teen Wolf" showrunner Jeffrey Davis recently confirmed that the first trailer for the upcoming season will be unveiled during Comic Con. A November launching may likely to happen but this was not confirmed by any authority.
Comic Con will run from July 21 to 24 in San Diego. Cast members are expected to attend the said event but none has confirmed attendance yet, MTV News reported.
Davis said in his interview that he is aware who were invited from the show but he is not sure who have already confirmed. MTV announced the panel will be at the Comic Con on July 21 in Ballroom 20 at 4:30PT. The panel will be moderated by Entertainment Weekly's Samantha Highfill.
Traditionally, "Teen Wolf" airs in June. But due to the recent injuries of one of its main casts, Dylan O' Brien, the air date of the show was moved to a later schedule. Due to the incident, production was also set on hiatus for two weeks.
O'Brien had an accident while filming "Maze Runner: The Death Cure" which also became a source of speculations before that the teen actor may not be part of the upcoming season, reported.
The last season ended March this year. Since many fans are anticipating the upcoming season, Davis hinted that season 6 will be focusing more on Dylan O'Brien and Holland Roden's characters. It will also explore a new mythology which may suggest new types of creatures and villains. It has also been hinted that a previous character would be making a comeback in season 6.
The last season of the TV series was also revealed in the same event. Although season 5 had lost some ratings, the show remained one of cable's top scripted series for adults 18 to 34 years old. Its first two episodes averaged a 0.8 rating with around 1.45 million overall views, Variety reported.
