The latest details for "Overwatch" will feature a patch fix for "Competitive Mode" this week and Liao and Sombra coming to the roster soon.

Blizzard Entertainment recently launched the new "Competitive Mode" for "Overwatch" in the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms, as gamers are eager to test their skills and rise through the ranks. Unfortunately, the "Competitive Mode" update had several issues as gamers have problems connecting to the Battle.net servers when entering the game and during online matches.

As a result gamers are penalized for unwanted "quitting" in "Competitive Mode" and Blizzard is now aware of the problem at hand. Game director Jeff Kaplan announced in the forums that he and Blizzard are developing a new patch update for "Overwatch" this week to fix the problems in the new game mode, PC Gamer reported.

Although Kaplan did not elaborate any further what these patch fixes are, he assured gaming fans that the new patch fix will deal with connection problems plaguing "Overwatch" servers.

In other news, its seems that new characters maybe added to "Overwatch's" roster soon as Kaplan stated that they are currently developing and testing out prototype characters and maps within the game, VG 24/7 reported.

Two characters are already rumored to be added in "Ovewatch's" roster; Liao and Sombra. Liao is one of the founding members of "Overwatch" along with Jack Morrison/Soldier:76, Gabriel Reyes/Reaper, Ana Amari, Torbjorn and Reinhardt. Several fan speculations revealed that Liao may have a connection with current playable character Mei-Ling Zhou.

Sombra on the other hand, is a "support sniper" with a "masked" motif similar to Soldier: 76 and Reaper. She was originally part of the initial roster, but Blizzard removed that character before its supposed launch date. Sombra's weapon is a a high-powered sniper rifle, more similar to those used in modern military first-person shooters than Widowmakers' machine gun based rifle.

Blizzard added that other new features such as extended spectator mode, improvements on "Play of the Game", custom games and a new server browser for the game.

Gamers will have to wait for Blizzard's announcement on the features in the new patch update within this week.

"Overwatch" is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
