The last time fans saw Netflix's "Daredevil" was when the masked vigilante fought with Nobu and his ninjas. Daredevil killed Nobu, but not before the latter killed Elektra. As Elektra drew her final breaths, she whispered, "This is not the end." Is this a foretelling of what's to come in "Daredevil" Season 3?
Unfortunately, Netflix has not made any announcement regarding the show's return. Speaking at the Netflix panel in Paris in April, actor Charlie Cox revealed that he has no idea if there's going to be a third outing for "Daredevil."
"We don't know if there's going to be a season three," Cox said, as reported by The Independent. "I certainly don't know."
But if Netflix does green light "Daredevil" for another season, Cox already has a villain in mind.
"If we are fortunate enough to continue making the Daredevil series, I can't imagine doing a run of Daredevil where Bullseye doesn't show up at some point," he shared, as quoted by Cinema Blend. "It would be great to have him around at some point. Who would play that part I have no idea but I just think there's such an interesting, rich character there, and also of course, the history that Bullseye has with Karen Page is an interesting dynamic."
The possibility of having Bullseye in the series has been talked about ever since the first season wrapped up, and it was briefly rumored that Jason Statham was the top choice for the role.
In the theatrical release of "Daredevil" in 2003, Bullseye was played by Colin Farrell.
However, fans won't be missing out on some action from Matthew Murdock as he will be joining the crime-fighting quartet of "The Defenders." This upcoming Netflix program will bring together Daredevil and Jessica Jones, as well as soon-to-be-introduced Marvel heroes Iron Fist and Luke Cage.
Filming for the "Avengers-style" show will begin later this year. "I'm very excited to see how those worlds combine... and interested to see tonally how those shows become one," Cox said about the new show.
Meanwhile, "Luke Cage" will be available on Netflix this September, with Mike Colter playing the titular role.
