The cast and crew for the special edition for ''The Seven Deadly Sins'' are assembling and are busy with the creation of new OVAs (Original video animation). Hiroyuki Sawano joined the team as a new music composer and the work of creation is taking shape now. Sawano had composed music for "Taiyou no Uta (A Song to the Sun)" and "Xenoblade Chronicles X" (VG) (Japanese).
In season 1, there were 24 episodes and the story unfurled one after the other. In episode 1, princess Elizabeth met Meliodas and set to conquer the dangerous group of Holy Knights. In episode 2 which was aired on Oct. 12, 2014, and was entitled "Seikishi no Ken" in Japanese ("Sword of The Holy Knight") saw that the Holy Knight Gilthunder tried to sabotage the plans of princess Elizabeth. He planted his sword in the center of the town of Bernia, which eventually prevented the villagers from manufacturing Bernia ale. The villagers were dependent on Bernia ale, as it was their main source of income.
The sword was preventing the source of water and Meliodas removed it without any efforts. The villagers start hero worshipping Meliodas and Gilthunder attacks the village again with his spear. Meliodas makes the spear dysfunctional and throws it back at Fort Solgales and destroys it. This makes Gilthunder extremely angry and he decides to take a revenge later. In order to find the rest of the sins, Meliodas and princess Elizabeth proceed towards the ''Forest of White Dreams.''
In episode 3 which was aired on Oct. 19, 2014 bearing a name ''Nemureru Mori no Tsumi'' in Japanese ("The Sin of the Sleeping Forest") saw Meliodas, Hawk and Elizabeth proceeding towards the ''Forest of White Dreams.'' The Prankster Imps arrives and confuses Meliodas by impersonating Hawk and Elizabeth. According to release date, the storyline of this special series might be different.
Finally the trio defeats Prankster Imps and proceed to find the ''Serpent's Sin of Envy'', Diane. Gilthunder didn't forget his defeat and arrives to suddenly bind all of them with this power of lightening magic. Meliodas acts smartly and allows Gilthunder- the Holy Knight to defeat him. Finally Gilthunder grants his dying wish and gives them the secret of two members of the ''Seven Deadly Sins.'' Meliodas now knows about the other two Holy Knights King and Ban and plans for his next conquest.
The original illustrator Nakaba Suzuki is writing a new story for this special edition, however most of the characters will remain the same. There are some new characters according to anime news network, however the plot is yet to be unfurled. Till then watch this interesting video.
