"No Man's Sky's" level up mechanics has been teased and somehow confirmed by the game's audio director Paul Weir at the Sónar+D conference in Barcelona. It was also confirmed that the game will be released in August.

Weir confirmed in a statement that there will be a brand new feature that Hello Games has not revealed yet. According to Express, the audio director was focusing more on the game's event-driven sound design, but also discussed a bit what the fans could expect when it will be launched. Among the details he discussed was the leveling up mechanic, but he did not give any further details than that.

The game will be launched exclusively on PlayStation 4 and the PC on Aug. 10 in the UK and Europe. The gamers from North America will get their copies earlier in Aug. 9. It was supposed to be launched earlier in June, but it was delayed by the game developers to add some finishing touches to it.

According to Mobile and Apps, the game developers will have plenty of time to explain the level up mechanic, since the release date is still a few weeks away. Most reports on the unique video game usually discuss about the known game elements like planets, ships, NPCs, music, and especially the procedural generation system.

Recently, the game developers discussed how to earn in-game currency and resources, and players should expect in terms of financial mechanics. If the leveling mechanic was false, then the resources and wealth of the players could be used as their progress in the game. Their gear and ships can be bought or made with the many resources that they can accumulate throughout the game. It was also confirmed that the suits of the character will determine its stats like defense and agility.

In other news, creative director Sean Murray revealed the reason why they skipped the E3 2016 event. He wanted the development team to make more improvements instead, so that they could satisfy what the fans' expectations of the game.
