More Koreans are backing the clarification by Blossom Entertainment that “Descendants of the Sun” actor Song Joong-ki was not with Park Yoochun at an adult nightspot where Park Yoochun allegedly sexually assaulted a woman who filed a lawsuit.
Blossom released a photo showing Song Joong-ki, Yoo Ah In and Song Hye kyo having dinner at a restaurant after the 52nd Baeksang Art Award on June 3 when Park Yoochun was at the adult nightspot.
The latest to testify that Song Joong-ki and Park Yoochun were not together that night is Lee Bong Gyu who was a panelist on July 6 at TV Chosun’s talk show “Powerful Opponents.” In the June 29 episode of the show, Lee Bong Gyu discussed the rumor of other stars being with Park Yoochun and named them, including the “Descendants of the Sun” actor, reported Soompi.
Besides Song Joong-ki, Lee Bong Gyu also named Park Bo Gum and Jun Hyun Moo. Because of his statement, Blossom threatened to file a lawsuit for damaging the reputation of its talents.
“Police investigations revealed that no celebrities were in attendance [with Park Yoochun] that night. It was also not found in the victims’ statements. I apologize to viewers for the misunderstanding,” said Lee Bong Gyu.
However, while he apologized to the viewers, Lee Bong Gyu was criticized for not saying sorry to the three actors he named.
Likewise, Song Hye Kyo also issued a statement, through Blossom, that she was with Song Joong-ki and Yoo Ah In when the alleged sexual harassment by Park Yoochun happened.
