Is Dwyane Wade's move to the Chicago Bulls just a step in the ultimate plan to join LeBron James in Cleveland?

Back in May, the Oklahoma City Thunder was right in the thick of the playoffs in the West and Dwyane Wade was also leading a spirited Miami Heat squad and went seven games against Eastern Conference finalist Toronto Raptors. If someone told you that Kevin Durant would join the Golden State Warriors and Wade would leave the Miami Heat for the Bulls, you would probably dismiss them as crazy, farfetched conspiracy theories.

In less than a week, both of those outlandish outcomes took place. Kevin Durant is now a Warrior and Wade is now a Bull. If there's one thing we need to understand, nothing is impossible in the NBA anymore.

There was already a clamor for Wade to join the Cleveland Cavaliers as a knee-jerk reaction to Durant joining the Warriors. It would have been a two-way arms race, as For The Win envisioned.

"Cleveland has to keep up. This is an arms race, and Golden State just added some huge type of explosive thing."

It may not be the best fit from a basketball standpoint because Kyrie Irving and LeBron James are already competing for touches along with Kevin Love.  But for the narrative-a Warriors vs Cavs trilogy, it sounds like fun.

It's just not possible at this time. The idea of LeBron James taking the minimum was impossible-he's not taking any less than the max.

Still, it's on the mind of many basketball talking heads. This was mentioned in NBA Lockdown podcast featuring ESPN Insiders Amin Elhassan and Tom Haberstroh.

Haberstroh mentioned that "if things go South with the Chicago Bulls, Wade is always in contact with LeBron James." Elhassan countered the idea, noting that the same reasons why Wade would not be a good fit with Chicago are the very same reasons why he won't be a good fit with the Cavs.

However, Haberstroh said that if a championship is on the line, Wade knows how to defer to LeBron James-he has done it before, on his own Miami Heat squad, and he got two rings for it.

Kevin Love has been the Cavs' trade bait and he could be a desirable fit with Hoiball. The Cavs can't trade him now, right after they won the Championship but sometime before the trade deadline, all bets are off.

This possibility is all hypothetical to say the least. It may be called a conspiracy theory for now, just like KD to the Warriors or "Heat lifer" Wade leaving South Beach.
