Sony has revealed the very first images of the PlayStation VR game boxes that will be launched in a couple of months.
The box art for the new games show how the customers will be informed that they need a PlayStation VR headset and camera. It also shows if a game is compatible with the PlayStation VR or if it is solely for the headset itself and not playable without one.
Two of the games that have had their box arts shown was the anticipated "Rigs: Mechanized Combat League" and the "PlayStation VR Worlds" game by London Studio, Polygon has learned. They were added onto the Best Buy list of products on their website.
The game box art looks similar to the regular ones except for the fact that it has a small but noticeable ribbon below the PlayStation 4 title that says if it is a PlayStation VR game, if it is PlayStation VR compatible or if a PSVR headset is required to play the title.
On the bottom right corner is a small photo of the PlayStation VR headset and the camera with the phrase "You'll Need These," Hardcore Gamer reported. Of course, one obvious sign that a game is meant for PlayStation VR is the word "VR" itself is included in the title like the "Batman Arkham VR" game.
Other box art that have been revealed include "Until Dawn: Rush of Blood" and "Hustle Kings VR." The compatible video games do not have the PlayStation VR photo on the bottom right corner.
Sony has also revealed recently that they will be launching the PlayStation Neo and that it will probably support the PlayStation VR when it launches as well. Some also speculate that it will run better at the new console considering that it would have better hardware than the PlayStation 4.
The PlayStation VR, formerly known as Project Morpheus, is expected to launch on October. The PlayStation Neo is also expected to be released by then, which would probably give customers more options for bundles of the VR headset and the new console along with some new games.
