Viewers are eager to know who is going to win the popular dating show titled "Everlasting" in "UnREAL" Season 2. Rachel Goldberg (Shiri Appleby) was previously struck by her former boyfriend Jeremy Caner (Josh Kelly) and she is headed for a nervous breakdown.
An engagement ring will be thrown into the mix in "UnREAL" Season 2 episode 6 titled "Casualty," which will air on July 11, Monday, on Lifetime, Entertainment Weekly has learned. Viewers have yet to know who is popping the question.
"Casualty" marks Appleby's directorial debut. In a recent interview with TV Line, the actress said she ended up having a big story, which she was very happy about, and she was really looking forward to the challenge of beginning to learn how to direct and act at the same time.
When asked about how Rachel is going to handle what Jeremy did to her, Appleby said it affects her character's whole being. She explained, "She's kind of knocked over in a certain direction, and subsequent things continue to happen to her."
According to Appleby, the second half of "UnREAL" Season 2 is really asking the questions about how much a person can take and how one gets control over his or her life. The actress added that Rachel has to decide how much of herself she is going to expose to Coleman Wasserman (Michael Rady).
Rachel is siding up with Coleman as some sort of escape route. However, the former makes herself vulnerable to the latter, Appleby explained.
As a director, Appleby revealed that she is interested in directing the upcoming show "Famous in Love." Set to premiere in 2017, the Freeform series will star Bella Thorne, Christopher Allen, Annalisa Cochrane, David DeSantos, Andrew DeVitre, David Douglas, Faryn Einhorn, Alex Elliott, George Flores, Jesse Henderson, Cory Jacob and Carter Jenkins, among others.
Before joining the cast of "UnREAL," Appleby played Clarice in "Chicago Fire" from 2012 to 2013 and Natalia in "Girls" from 2013 to 2014. She also played Carla Niven in "Code Black" Season 1.
Rachel, Jeremy and Coleman will be featured in "Casualty." Also in the episode are Yael (Monica Barbaro), Chantal (Maegan Tandy), Romeo (Gentry White) and Chet Wilton (Craig Bierko), among others.
