Niantic Labs has confirmed that the international rollout for Pokémon GO will be delayed due to the huge number of players in the system and not because of Pokémon GO cheats or APK downloads.
The AR game has initially rolled out to players in Australia and New Zealand last week. Next, players in the United States were able to play Pokémon GO without having to sideload a Pokemon GO APK file.
Japan and the rest of the world have not been able to access the Pokemon GO AR game. Some have given tips to spoof their location in order to access the game outside the available markets.
Now, Niantic Labs has confirmed that the rollout for the other regions and countires will be delayed. Niantic CEO John Hanke told Business Insider that they are currently fixing the Pokemon GO server capacities and that the international rollout will be "paused" until they are confident that they will be able to handle the load.
The company hasn't even set a release date for the rest of the world and now they are delaying the rollout. Some have blamed the crashing of the servers due to the rampant Pokemon GO cheats and installing of Pokemon GO APK files which have been found to contain malware.
Hanke also said that they expected Pokemon GO would be popular around the world but not to the point that it would crash their servers, NDTV reported. He did not confirm how long it will take for Niantic or The Pokemon Company to fix the servers.
Sideloading the APK files have allowed those outside the available regions to try the game out. It was part of several publications' Pokémon GO tips and tricks as the search term is quite popular for those who can already play the game.
However, researchers have discovered that some of the third-party files have malware inside them. People were discouraged to download them as not to infect their Android smartphones.
Pokémon GO fans in the rest of the world would have to wait for the international release. Fortunately, it was not because of the Pokémon GO cheats, tips, tricks and Pokémon GO APK files that most people are now taking advantage of.
