Antique game experts have collected an assortment of the most expensive video games in the world, with the top players being Nintendo and Sega games. Owning a copy of any game in the list means that one will sell it and make a large sum of money in no time.
According to Daily Star, the most expensive among them is "Snowboard Kids 2" (Nintendo 64), which fetches a whopping $2580 per copy. It is followed closely by Sega 32X tittles "Darxide" and "Primal Rage" at $1546 and $1288 respectively.
In the fourth position is Snes hit "X Zone," valued at $1094 per copy, followed closely by Sega 32X title "T Mek," which earns $1028. The next in the list are "Viewpoint" (Neo Geo AES) at $964, "Stadium Games" (Nintendo Nes) at $771, "Cool World" (Super Nintendo) at $707, and "Fatal Fury Special Edition" (Sega Mega CD) at $707.
Consoles that materialized in the 80's and 90's like ZX Spectrum, Neo Geo AES, and Atari Jaguar were also featured in the records. However, the majority of the platforms included mainstream brands like Nintendo 64 and the NES, Super Nintendo, Sega Saturn, Sony PlayStation, 32X, Mega CD, Master System, and Mega Drive.
According to Love Antique website, the list was created based on the knowledge of one of the world's best video game collectors. The Managing Director Will Thomas wrote that it was astonishing and interesting to discover how expensive the games were.
The firm's video game expert, who has since chosen to remain anonymous, also included a set of tips on what check out when investing in video game media. His advice is to make sure that the games' condition is good, especially for the purchase of card board packaged ones.
Also to note, the rarer the video game, the more expensive and valuable it is. And as such, the expert recommends prospective buyers to invest in games that did not sell well at their times of release, such as those overshadowed by the release of PlayStation One.
