Early reports have already mentioned that Ryan Reynolds will be returning on the big screens with a sequel to "Deadpool," but his most recent Instagram post hints that the release date of the said movie sequel may be in 2018.
According to University Herald, Reynolds reposted a fan-made "Deadpool 2" poster that had a seemingly defaced bathroom sign. The other half of the sign had the male bathroom sign, and the other was a disabled person's bathroom sign, vandalized to look respectively like Wolverine and Professor X.
The fan-made "Deadpool 2" poster also features a hand with a pen, and it seems like this very hand is responsible for the vandalism on the bathroom signs. As one zoom into the photo, they would see that the hand's glove has "mutant 101 is here" written in white ink.
Since the said "Deadpool 2" fan-made poster has "2018" as its release date, fans now speculate that this post may be foreshadowing the movie's actual release date. According to the film producer Simon Kinberg, the crew hopes to begin film production in early 2017. With writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick currently working on the script, the production crew believes that the script will be ready for reading soon.
Just like the exact premiere date of the movie, other details such as plot and casting remains to be kept under wraps by the actors and production team. However, according to Ecumenical News, if there is one thing that fans know, it would be that Cable will be the film's antagonist. Although, there is no official statement yet as to which actor will portray the villain for "Deadpool 2."
After the first "Deadpool" movie's success in February 2016, actor Stephen Lang expressed that if he was given the chance, he would love to play the role of Cable. In fact, he even used his account on Twitter to advertise his desire to play the role, hoping to increase his "chances of winning" the role. Added to this, actor Dolph Lundgren also said that he would love to play the role, should it be offered to him.
