In the latest episode of Raw, Vince announced that Stephanie will take charge of Raw while Shane is going to be the commissioner of SmackDown. It is a little bit over the top to have two authority figures on the same show but that is what the WWE wants.

According to Forbes, there are five possible candidates to become the next general manager of Raw. These are Eric Bischoff, Paul Heyman, Vince, Kane and Stephanie's husband, Triple H. Vince is likely out of the picture since there would be too much McMahon on-screen.

Bischoff and Heyman are great choices since they have been general managers before for Raw and SmackDown, respectively. However, Bischoff is not under WWE contract and Heyman has insisted that he is happy with his current role as Brock Lesnar's advocate.

Stephanie is a heel character and she will likely appoint a bad guy as Raw's general manager. Kane and Triple H are two of the best possible candidates for the position. However, both stars are part of The Authority.

If the WWE opts to have Stephanie and Triple H run raw, they are moving backward since The Authority have been ruling Raw for the past several years. Vince has dubbed the incoming brand extension as the "New Era" but having the first-family of WWE on television every week is not new.

As for SmackDown, it is a fresh start for the blue brand with Shane as the commissioner and the show is also going live on a permanent basis. According to Daily Wrestling News, Daniel Bryan may end up becoming the general manager of SmackDown.

The WWE App accidentally leaked a report stating that Bryan is taking over SmackDown live. It has already been removed but PWMania was able to get a snapshot of it.

It is a great start for SmackDown since they will have two babyface authority figures. The fans still love Shane and the WWE universe has been clamoring for Bryan's return to television. The leader of the YES! Movement is currently serving as a color commentator of the WWE Cruiserweight Classic on the WWE Network,

The 34-year-old retired in February due to nagging head injuries. He is still under contract with the WWE and he is set to star in "Total Bellas" along with his wife Brie, sister-in-law Nikki and John Cena.
