Less than a month before its expected release, the well-anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is still the subject of new rumors circulating around the tech world. Packed with awesome specifications, the new phablet from the Seoul-based mobile giant is reportedly seen with a little different specs in Antutu, which suggests the initial reports may not be true.
It has been earlier revealed that Samsung's upcoming high-end devices, with the model number SM-930F, will sport a 1.50 GHz octa-core Exynos 7420 processor, a 3GB RAM and with the latest Google's operating system called Android 7.0 Nougat. However, a new listing from the benchmarking tool Antutu shows a little dissimilar specification, as reported by Gamen'Guide.
The new Antutu benchmark for a Galaxy Note 7, with a different model number of SM-930V, revealed that the upcoming phablet will have a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, not an octacore; a 4GB RAM, 1GB higher compared to initial reports; and an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, not the newest OS from the tech giant Google.
Aside from the difference in processor, Antutu listing also disclosed that Samsung's newest device will feature a 64GB internal storage, a 13MP main camera with LED flash and a 5MP selfie shooter, Time News reported.
The said specs is different from earlier leaked information about the upcoming high-end phablet from Samsung, which is said to sport a 5.8-inch display and will have a 25MP rear shooter with a 16MP front camera.
The SM-930V-model of Galaxy Note 7 in Antutu listing gained 909 points in single core test and scored 3768 points in the multi-core test.
Initial rumors about the phablet also suggest that Galaxy Note 7 will have a better battery capacity at 3500 mAh, with a fast charging feature and an iris scanner.
With Geekbench and Antutu's different listings for Samsung Galaxy Note 7, some tech analysts and observers believe that the Seoul-based company will be launching two different options for their upcoming high-end phablet.
As the Korean mobile giant remains mum, fans and enthusiasts will just need to wait until the rumored Aug. 2 launch date for Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
