Aside from "Final Fantasy" and "Kingdom of Hearts," the reigning 2015 Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach revealed in a video clip she is also playing "Pokemon." The newly released GPS-based game from Nintendo captured the attention of Wurtzbach who was seen in a video playing "Pokemon Go" out on the streets of New York.
The short clip showed she was able to catch four Pokemons, while setting aside a fan's request for a while in order to focus catching an encountered Pokemon. She even exclaimed she would have caught more if not for the heels she was wearing and if she was more focused. Wurtzbach said in the first part of the video clip she is about to go to a movie premiere but she still has extra time so she decided to play "Pokemon Go" for a while, The Inquirer reported.
The Miss Universe also revealed that her favorite character from the roster of pocket monsters is Pikachu. In her white off-shoulder top, black shirt and heels, Wurtzbach cheerfully sang the first few seconds of the cartoon's theme song, Manila Bulletin reported.
During her previous interviews, the 26-year old beauty queen admitted she was a "closet gamer," revealing she used to play "Final Fantasy" and "Tekken," which are her favorite video games.
Born to a Filipino mother and a German father, the Filipino titleholder won last Dec. 20, 2015. Her win had its share of controversies after the crown was first given to Ms. Venezuela but was later own awarded to Wurtzbach after the host admitted he mistakenly announced the wrong winner.
The Filipino-German beauty started in the Philippines as an actress, and was more known as Pia Romero. Wurtzbach had several acting stints before joining beauty pageants. She was awarded in the Binibining Pilipinas from 2013 to 2014 until she was finally crowned Miss Universe Philippines in 2015.
Fans will see more of Wurtzbach in the streets of New York and other places as she will be fulfilling her duties as Miss Universe for a year. Towards the end of her reign, she will be passing on the crown to the next Miss Universe.
