Avid fans of the "Final Fantasy" franchise should expect news about "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" soon. However, information has surfaced that "Final Fantasy XV" will not be coming to Nintendo NX.
Game developer, Square Enix has been mum about the much-awaited "Final Fantasy 7 Remake." This has spurred speculation that the company may have scrapped the game. Game director, Tetsuya Nomura, clarified last month in an interview with Famitsu translated by KH Insider that amid the absence of updates, the remake is still on the table.
"I know I haven't given any information in a while, but please rest assured that work is moving forward steadily," Nomura said. "We are currently getting specifics ready for the next information release... We plan to bring a whole lot out in one go instead of dribs and drabs, so please look forward to it. I am looking forward to the reveals myself."
The director gave no further details about the upcoming remake, especially when it comes to the release date. However, fans should look forward to know more about the game soon. When the remake was unveiled last year, the developer said that "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" will allow gamers to go beyond the story and experience in a completely new way.
"Final Fantasy 7 Remake" will release in multiple episodes effectively to reflect the original "Final Fantasy 7" story. Aficionados expect that the upcoming reveal will focus on the release date of the remake as well as its preview.
In other news, director Hajime Tabata had an interview with Game Reactor, teasing that Square Enix has no plans to port "Final Fantasy XV" to the Nintendo NX. However, Tabata said that there are possibilities.
The director did not give any information about porting the much-rumored "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" to the Nintendo NX. Updates on the remake have been elusive, and therefore, fans should wait a little bit longer to lay hands on their favorite game.
