Motorola Moto E3 was launched in the U.K. last week. A recent Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification of the smartphone indicates its arrival in the U.S. soon. While a UK launch is imminent in September, the phone is likely to go officially stateside in the United States next month.
Much has been revealed by the FCC documentation that points out to a FCC label that is pasted inside the battery section, which indicates that the power cell is removable. Moreover, the documentation also reveals that Moto E3 will carry the model number XT1607 and it will be available in 16GB internal storage version. However, it is not clear whether there will be another version of the phone with a different memory capacity.
The good news is the model will come with a microSD card slot that will help in expanding its internal memory. Other features in the phone include a 5-inch display screen with a resolution of 720x1280p. Powered by a quad-core CPU under the hood, the handset has an 8MP camera on the rear and a 5MP camera on the front.
The smartphone tucks in a removable 2,800mAh battery that will help the phone run long for an entire day. Featuring a 1GB of RAM, the Moto E3 is pegged for USD price of $132 in the UK, which gives the idea that the unit will cost the same in the U.S, Phone Arena reported.
Earlier, when the Moto X series was released in the market, it became an instant hit due to its sleek and over styling. The fourth generation Moto G series proved to be the best smartphone for budget customers. Soon, the third generation Moto E also appealed to the crowd because of its reasonable price.
Moto E3, the latest Moto device, certified by the FCC, features the hallmarks of the newest budget smartphone. According to the FCC listing, the back panel of the phone is similar to the Moto G4. All the E-series smartphones released so far bear the highest 8GB internal storage option, but with the E3 there will be an exception, according to Android Headlines.
Motorola's other two flagship models, Moto Z Force and Moto Z will also come to the market in September. Both the devices have a 5.5-inch QHD display and run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow software.
