While it is still unknown when Apple will be unveiling the all-new Macbook Pro 2016, some of its features are highly being speculated since the past few months. One of the most recent that has been reported is that the new Macbook Pro will be able to connect online through 4G. Aside from cellular connectivity, the said laptop will be using the 7th generation Kaby Lake processors.
Contrary to what was reported the past few months, the Macbook Pro will not be utilizing Skylake processors, but will instead use the Kaby Lake. The rumors is that Intel's seventh generation Core processors were already delivered to various companies in sufficient quantities, Apple Insider reported.
Despite the rumor, those that have been reportedly delivered were not for the Macbook Pro. The plan is that the low-power chips will be first delivered to tablets, while powerful chips are expected to be shipped for Macbook Pro's use and other Mac devices, the report added.
On the other hand, aside from the reported OLED touch bar and removal of headphone jack, the Macbook Pro have been reported several times that it will feature its own cellular 4G connectivity. The connectivity will allow the laptop to connect on the internet without using WiFi, Macworld reported.
The report added that due to the decrease in 4G connectivity costs, the possibility is very much high that Apple will produce a 4G-capable Macbook. The upgrade would imply additional cost which may be similar to the cost structure of iPad devices.
The possibility was raised after a patent of a cellular Macbook was granted by Apple. The United States Patent and Trademark Office published a total of 55 new patents, one of which includes the remote wireless transreceiver. Apple's patent described that the wireless patent is an electronic device which may contain wireless communications circuitry which operates in long-range communication bands such as cellular telephone bands.
In terms of release date, although several fans highly expected the Macbook Pro will be announced during the WWDC, the Cupertino-based company did not feature any new Macbook Pro at their recently held event. Apple followers are now expecting the much-anticipated laptop will be unveiled alongside the iPhone 7 and Watch 2 in Autumn.
