The high success of Square Enix's Chaos Rings had the company challenge the game's creator, Takehiro Ando, to develop a spin-off for The Apple Watch, called Cosmos Rings.

Chaos Rings are a series of role-playing games (RPG) for mobile platforms, which is a pretty unusual console platform for RPG's. But this time, Square Enix wants to take it further by focusing on a game built on a platform that has far more constraints than modern smartphones, according to Destructoid.

There is not much info about the game yet. The game it will be shaped from, Chaos Rings, was primarily an iOS game, but was eventually ported to Android and Windows 7. The game is set in the Ark Arena, and participants are treated as warriors set to face enemies in dungeons and tournaments with the objective of gaining immortality and avoiding death altogether.

The RPG series consists of four games for mobile phones already: Chaos Rings, Chaos Rings Omega (which is a prequel to the first installment), Chaos Rings II, and Chaos Rings III. The games feature a turn-based combat battle system where the player can choose between fighting as solo or a pair.

It will be interesting to see how the RPG will work in the Apple Watch. The watch is what its name says it is: a wristwatch with advanced functionalities, such as monitoring workout progress, notifications from people, and activity-related routines. One of the primary purposes of the watch is for the user to stay healthy and motivated, according to Apple's website.

On the website of the Cosmos Rings, Square Enix has been careful not to spread too much details about the upcoming game. From what can be seen, the game might be released sooner than we expect, despite the lack of announced dates yet.

The latest trend among mobile games is Pokemon Go, wherein millions of daily users have partaken in the game because of its augmented-reality technology.

There is no preview of the game yet, but this is what Chaos Rings looks like.
