Avis fans of the "Vikings" franchise were recently treated with a trailer of Season 4B. The teaser shows an epic battle between the Vikings and the English, besides depicting Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) captured by enemies.
"Vikings" Season 4A wrapped up with Rollo (Clive Standen) defeating his Viking brethren with the help from the French army. Later, Ragnar disappeared after the war and came back after some years to a transformed Kattegat and four grown sons.
It is not surprising that neither his community nor his sons would welcome King Ragnar. Besides teasing the imminent storm, the first 20 seconds of the sneak peek shows Ragnar's sons, Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick), and King Ecbert (Linus Roache).
Furthermore, the trailer shows Bjorn Ironside (Alexander Ludwig) speaking with the Seer who informs him that the return of his father will cause calamity, unrest, tragedy, and deaths. In fact, there is a glimpse of Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland) bleeding on the floor, a storm hitting the Viking fleet, and men drowning. However, Bjorn tells the Seer that he is not afraid of what is ahead.
Bjorn is determined to prove his strength just like his father. He heads to France and faces his uncle, Rollo, showing him his map of the Mediterranean Seas and asking for safe passage of his fleet.
The two family members interact well, and the clip reveals that Rollo would like to join Bjorn on his adventure. Rollo admits to Gisla (Morgane Polanski) that he cannot deny the part of himself that is still a Viking.
In Season 4B, fans will be treated with the long overdue fight between Aslaug and Lagertha after the former accuses the latter of stealing Ragnar from her, according to Screen Crush. The trailer shows Lagertha and Ragnar kissing, and later, the shield maiden walks ahead of her army.
At the Vikings panel during the recent Comic-Con, besides fascinating fans with the clip, the cast amused fans with tales of how Fimmel and Ludwig pranked each other, according to Deadline. At the same time, series creator Michael Hirst unveiled how an expedition her undertook might have discovered Ivar the Boneless' grave.
"Vikings" Season 4B premieres on the History Channel in the fall. Here is footage for more information:
