As the month of September approaches, more and more recent and reliable information regarding the upcoming Nexus smartphones are being released. A recent post from a reliable tipster previewed several specifications of the HTC "Sailfish." On the other hand, a release date earlier than September of both devices is being speculated as discounts for the Nexus 5X and 6P recently surfaced.
The past few months were full of speculations over what type of features the upcoming Nexus smartphones would be having. There had been reports about its processor, display, camera and other features such as a finger print or an iris scanner.
Tipster Evan Blass recently revealed in his Twitter post a snapshot of the build.prop file of the "Sailfish" smartphone expected to be manufactured by HTC. The said file contains the device's general specifications and other information about both its software and hardware.
In the screenshot previewed, HTC "Sailfish" will be run by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, contrary to what has been reported before that it will be running under an 821 processor. The said processor is an improved version of its predecessor and is expected to be faster and more efficient in performance. Aside from its processor, the leak also suggests the device would be utilizing a full HD screen resolution of 1,080 by 920 pixels at 5.2-inch display size.
Meanwhile, though no leaks have been provided for "Marlin," the upcoming smartphone is expected to hold several features such as a 5.5-inch display which bigger than "Sailfish," Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, a processor similar to the latter and rear and front cameras at 12 MP and 8 MP, respectively, according to Techroider.
While several reports mentioned a September release for both smartphones, some eyes it may be even earlier than this as discounts of the Nexus 5X and 6P are already on-going as early as this month. It is expected that this information will be more clear in the few weeks that will come.
Meanwhile, Google recently released the final developer preview of its Android Nougat 7.0 which is expected to debut at the upcoming Nexus smartphones. For more rumors surrounding the Nexus 2016 phones, watch the video clip below.
