It seems like Lady Gaga's love life isn't a "Bad Romance" after all, as the pop star took to social media to address the speculations that she and beau Taylor Kinney have broken up.
According to Refinery29, although the much talked-about couple is not together at the moment, the two have not officially broken up either. The "You and I" singer posted a black and white photo of her and her fiance with each other's arms around each other's backs.
Lady Gaga shared that she and Kinney "have always believed [they] are soulmates," and despite their celebrity status, she reminded her followers and fans that they are still "just like all couples." The singer further revealed that like ordinary couples, they too have "ups and downs," through which they have been working as they take a "break" from their engagement.
Lady Gaga continues on to say that although they are "just like all couples," their individual professions have led them to have "complicated schedules" and "long distances" apart that have made their "simple love" much harder to work through. She urges her fans to "please root us on," asking for their support in the couple's efforts of working through their relationship, whilst affirming her followers that Kinney and her "really [do] love each other."
According to CBS news, the "Born This Way" singer has been spotted in Cabo with her friends sans her heart-shaped diamond ring. Rumors of her split from Kinney surfaced after she was seen without the said ring while in her Malibu show and after she attended the Met Gala alone.
Meanwhile, Kinney has been trying to hide from the limelight amidst his engagement break-up with Lady Gaga. Having just celebrated his 35th birthday this July, he merely tweeted a message of gratitude to those who have greeted him, and has made no allusion whatsoever to the break up or Lady Gaga.
Kinney met Lady Gaga in the set of the "You and I" music video in 2011, and the couple began dating shortly after. The former asked the latter to get married on Valentine's Day in 2015.
