Trey Parker and Matt Stone claimed to have formulated the idea behind Pokemon Go gameplay as early as 1999.
In the recent celebration of the 20th season of "South Park," creators, Parker and Stone, revealed this shocking news. According to them, the idea was basically out during the third season of "South Park" with the episode "Chinpokomon." They explained that the said episode basically features dolls with chips which could track down the locations of their owners, pretty much how players in "Pokemon Go" could find Pokemon using different types of Poke Balls.
With this, the two jokingly claimed that they do not have anything to do with any Pokemon Go episode because they already did it 17 years ago. They even added that they may take legal action for alleged "rip-off" of their idea.
Meanwhile, Junichi Masuda, the general manager of Game Freak which is the company behind the Pokemon video game, and John Hanke, CEO of an American company specializing in reality mobile games, have not yet responded to the said joke. Instead, they recently released a video apology addressed to gamers in Japan.
Masuda and Hanke said that they are sorry that it took a while before the game is released in the home country of the Pokemon. The two also included a reminder to everyone to keep safe, play by the rules and exercise extreme level of common sense while playing.
In response to the Pokemon Go fever, the Japanese government also took action to secure safety of Japanese players by releasing safety campaign, after reports of accidents while playing Pokemon Go became viral in the internet.
While these issues are yet unaddressed, another exciting news is currently rounding up in the net. As reported by Comicbook.com, strong Poke balls are said to be made available for players who can make it to level 20 - Great Balls and Ultra Balls. These balls are designed to help in catching rare and elusive Pokemon.
More than these two super Balls, players are much more excited on how to get a Master Ball which, according to reports, is certainly included in the coding of the game.
