Prior to the release of Huawei Honor 8, the anticipation for the company's sub-brand is also making news, which is the unveiling of Honor Note 8 phablet at the Huawei Exhibition Center in Beijing on Aug. 1. Sporting a massive 6.6-inch display, the phablet will raise the bar for high-end mobile devices in terms of its advanced specifications.
According to the details released in TENAA, a Chinese certification body listing, the Huawei Honor Note 8 will feature a Quad HD display of 1440x2560 pixel resolution, an appropriate display upgrade in order for Huawei to compete effectively with other powerful devices.
More so, the phablet is expected to come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage, and will measure 178.8×90.9×7.18mm and weigh 219 grams. The new features of Huawei will also be coupled with its own Kirin 955 octa-core CPU and ran in Android 6.0 Marshmallow, The Times of India reported.
Aside from its elevated internal processors, Honor Note 8 will be packed with a massive 4,400 mAh battery for longer standby time and usage productivity. It will also feature a fingerprint scanner as an added security measure, along with a 13MP main camera with dual-LED flash and an 8MP front camera.
The charging port interface of Honor Note 8 could be a Type-C USB connector, while the leaked pricing details have been revealed to be 1999 Yuan or $299.21 for 3GB RAM with 64GB internal storage and 2299 Yuan or $344.20 for 4GB RAM with 64GB processor, WCCF Tech has learned.
According to The Times India, Honor Note 8 will compete with Xiaomi's recently launched Mi Max phablet in terms of its 6.44-inch display, which has seen impressive sales numbers in China.
As of now, Huawei mobile fans will soon get their hands on the new handsets, since Honor has already sent invites for the official launch event.
Through Honor 8 and Honor Note 8, the company sees a greater chance of competition on the smartphone and tablet market, considering that it has just recently posted a 40 percent increase in revenues for Q1 2016.
