Former Los Angeles Lakers forward Carlos Boozer reportedly agreed to a one-year deal with Guangdong Southern Tigers in the Chinese Basketball League, according to Pro Basketball reporter David Pick.
Boozer, who last played as a member of the Lakers during the 2014-15 season, will give his basketball career another shot by deciding to take his talent to China, where he's expected to play against other NBA journeymen.
The 34-year old forward averaged 11.8 points and 6.8 rebounds over 71 games with the Lakers. He's a career 52 percent shooter from the field and a member of an All-Star team twice.
Meanwhile, fresh from closing the curtain on his NBA career, Amare Stoudemire announced that he'll be playing for Hapoel Jerusalem in Israel.
Stoudemire ended his NBA career after 13-years with four different ball clubs. The former Rookie of the Year and All-Star is a part owner of Hapoel, and playing for the team has been on his mind since becoming a member of its board of owners.
"Stoudemire has taken a great interest in the country over the past few years since revealing that he has Jewish roots on his mother's side. He has held an ownership stake in Hapoel Jerusalem since the summer of 2013 after Israeli tech magnate Ori Allon became the club's majority owner," according to Marc Stein of ESPN.
The 33-year old Stoudemire averaged 5.8 points and 4.3 assists over 14 minutes per game in his final season in the NBA as a member of the Heat.
