Pangu has recently released the highly anticipated iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak but several users are now reporting that there has been unauthorized access to some of their accounts including mobile banking apps and PayPal.
Users have been waiting for an iOS 9.3.2 jailbreak but Pangu has recently just demonstrated an iOS 10 jailbreak. Rumors of Pangu releasing the jailbreak turned out to be true but only for iOS 9.3.3 users.
The first thing that iOS users noticed was that Pangu's tool is different from the previous ones. There were no issues with the jailbreak tool itself but there could be problems with how it was delivered to the users.
Several iPhone and iPad owners who have used the iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak tool from Pangu are now reporting that there are some suspicious activities with their social media and banking accounts, Forbes has learned. There is still no concrete proof that there is something malicious with the files that Pangu has uploaded.
Jailbreak app Cydia creator Jay Freeman sad that there might be some malicious codes hidden in the Chinese version of the iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak from Pangu if there are others who worked on it. In addition, there could also be some distrust in 25PP as their servers could also be compromised by hackers.
While others are busy trying to track down what is causing the unauthorized access on their accounts after using the iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak tool, some are still waiting for the iOS 9.3.2 jailbreak. Earlier rumors have claimed that the iOS 9.3.3 tool would come first before the iOS 9.3.2 jailbreak and that turned out to be true, Neurogadget reported.
Pangu has not said if they will still be releasing the iOS 9.3.2 jailbreak now that the iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak tool has been released. There is also the possibility that they will just focus their efforts in preparing for the iOS 10 jailbreak tool when Apple launches the new major update for iPhone and iPad users this fall.
Apple has already rolled out the public iOS 10 beta version so that they could improve the final version more once it releases. Pangu, TaiG and other hackers could still release the iOS 9.3.2 jailbreak even after releasing the iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak tool but it has a low chance.
