CD Projekt Red has officially announced that there will be no more additional expansion packs and that "The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine" DLC will be the last but a fourth game can be possible.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of the most successful games across the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the PC. It combines great storytelling and also one of the best graphics in its time.
There were several The Witcher 3 DLCs released in the past several months but Blood and Wine is now officially confirmed as the last one. The Witcher 3 game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz told Eurogamer that he is hoping for another Witcher game and it could still be possible but the decision will come from the whole team and it will be shared "soon," Gamenguide has learned.
The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine is often considered to be the best DLC in the game with its rich storyline and added gameplay content. CD Projekt Red initially launched the expansion pack on May 31 but players are still repeating their playthroughs of the DLC because it contains new areas to explore and new stories to discover.
Players are given the chance to solve a murder mystery with Geralt who seems to think that the victims were murdered not by a monster but a person instead. Geralt is then tasked to find out what really happened and to catch or possibly kill the culprit.
NVIDIA has also announced that The Witcher 3 will finally be receiving the highly anticipated Ansel support on August 15 which means players would finally be able to capture more of the in-game scenes and combat, WCCFTech reported. EA and DICE's Mirror's Edge: Catalyst was the first game to receive support for NVIDIA's new in-game capture technology.
It is not known yet whether CD Projekt Red will continue to make The Witcher 4 but it is confirmed that the Blood and Wine The Witcher 3 DLC is the last expansion pack. New stories, enemies and friends could be present in the anticipated sequel if it does come into fruition.
