Paige has been lost in the shuffle following the failure of the Divas Revolution last year and she has not been in a proper feud in 2016. However, the latest rumors imply that the WWE may have a big plan for Paige and it is a future feud with Stephanie McMahon.
The 23-year-old superstar made her main roster debut in 2014 at the Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania 30. She surprisingly defeated A.J. Lee to become the youngest WWE Divas Champion in history at 21 years old.
Paige went on to become a two-time WWE Divas Champion but she has been misused for the past year. According to Sportskeeda, one of the ways to make the Norwich, England native relevant again is to have her feud with the commissioner of Raw.
It is noted that having a story against McMahon will revive Paige's young career and elevate her to new heights. Before she became part of the Total Divas cast, Paige was called the "anti-Diva" and had a rebel-like gimmick.
If the WWE would just Paige that gimmick back, she can use it to become an anti-authority figure that will make McMahon's life as commissioner a living hell. She can apply real-life frustrations to fuel the feud much like what CM Punk did in 2011.
Paige can say that the WWE wanted her to become someone she is not and she is sick of all the shenanigans. She can add that she is frustrated in her position in the company and that she deserves better, The Inquisitr reported.
On the other hand, Vince McMahon's daughter is a heat magnet and Paige would get cheered no matter what. Stephanie can also help promote their feud with her mic skills while the "anti-Diva" can carry her in the ring.
The commissioner of Raw last wrestled in 2014 at SummerSlam against Brie Bella. Despite her age and limited wrestling skills, Stephanie proved that she still has it. She impressed in her first match in many years and she can certainly do it again.
One possible event where Paige vs. Stephanie will sell is at Survivor Series or WrestleMania 33. Nevertheless, these are just rumors at the moment and the WWE may be planning something different.
