Ford dealerships are already open for the 2015 Petty's Garage Mustang GT orders, Rush Times reported.
Paying tribute to seven-time NASCAR champion Richard Petty, 77, nicknamed The King, the limited-edition variant will be available for only 100 Stage 1 Petty's Garage Mustang GT units only. Pricing starts at $63,035 with destination.
On the other hand, there are 43 examples of the Stage 2 Petty's Garage Mustang GT had available for order. It is yet to be confirmed of the Stage 2 variant will be subject to gas guzzler taxes.
It was recently rumored that AC/DC lead vocalist Brian Johnson already ordered the first of the Stage 2 units. However, those who are interested in the higher-end Stage 2 model can still order it with pricing starting at $93,035.
Both powered by a 5.0-liter, 627-horsepower supercharged V8 engine from Ford Racing and Roush, the Stage 1 and Stage 2 Petty's Garage Mustang GT variants are equipped with Richard Petty's signature on the dashboard and special interior and exterior tweaks and add-ons.
Also, both the Stage 1 and Stage 2 variants have a MagnaFlow exhaust, a cold-air intake, a bigger rear spoiler, 20-inch wheels and redesigned front and rear fascias with other twists to the original GT's design.
Stage 2 has larger Wilwood brakes, Petty's Garage wheels and a two-tone Petty Blue/Tuxedo Black paint job, which are not in Stage 1.
The major competitors of the 2015 Petty's Garage Mustang GT variants are Nissan 370Z, Chevrolet Camaro and Doge Challenger, according to Edmunds.
