"Doctors" star Park Shin Hye has been tapped to be the new face of Swarovski's latest collection. The 26-year-old actress will be featured in this year's Swarovski's fall-winter collection.
"Park has the innocent charm of a child, but has deep and mature eyes at the same time," the fashion design company said in a press release obtained by The Kpop Herald. "Her beautiful and versatile look corresponds well with the brand's ideal female figure."
In light of Park's skyrocketing popularity both locally and internationally, the fashion design company believed that having the "Pinocchio" star will apparently give positive impacts on Swarovski's brand image. The campaign photos was then widely circulated on Facebook.
Currently, Park stars in SBS's "Doctors" along with actor Kim Rae Won, 35. The two portray the on-screen couple, Dr. Yoo Hye Jung and Dr. Hong Jing Hong, respectively.
Helmed by PD Oh Choong-Hwan, "Doctors" premiered on June 20 with a nationwide TV rating of 14.7 percent. The 20-episode drama unfaltering increase in viewership ratings is ascribed to the lead stars on-screen chemistry and the show's solid story content.
During the drama's press conference on June 15, Park revealed some of the factors why she chose to star in "Doctors." She revealed, "The manuscript was fun and Yoo Hye Jung is a character unlike any I've done before. Moreover, I've always worked alongside people my age, so it's nice to film with the reliable older Kim Rae Won."
In other news, it was reported previously that Park is building yet another magnanimous center in Manila, Philippines. The said children's welfare center aims to support destitute children through several educational activities.
It will be called "Shin Hye Center in Manila" and is expected to have a massive library, equipped with basic educational books and programs, The Korea Times reported. It will be finished by early October.
It is worth noting that the actress has taken an interest in many charitable work and ambassadors throughout the years. Currently, she is serving as the honorary ambassador for a non-profit organization, Korea Food for the Hungry International (KFHI).
