After airing its final episode in April, CBS has announced that it will not renew "Limitless" for another season, which led to numerous rumors that the series is going to be picked up by another network.
According to Game N Guide, CBS is not going to give the series another run, while other streaming services such Amazon has no interest in getting the series as well. Despite of this, fans still hold on to the chance that sooner or later some network will eventually pick up "Limitless" Season 2. The same report even noted that a fan initiated an online petition, which he named as "Renew Limitless for season 2," and still lives on Care 2 Petitions.
It was also emphasized how a fan got so frustrated with CBS that he boycott all CBS programs. The fan said that he is no longer watching CBS shows for the reason that the network did not renew "Limitless" Season 2.
On the other hand, although reports say that Netflix is not picking up the series for another installment, recent speculations points out that the network might eventually grant the series with a sequel.
The speculations started after Netflix decided to stream "Limitless" Season 1. Rumor has it that the decision of the network to stream the first season might be an indication that it could give the series a second outing depending on the ratings of Season 1, iTech Post has learned.
As of the moment, there is still no confirmation coming from Netflix whether it will pick up "Limitless" Season 2, despite of its decision to air the first season on its streaming platform.
