"The Last Ship" Season 3 episode 9 is not airing this week. The show will take a brief hiatus and will resume with episode titled "Eutopia" on Aug. 14, Sunday. Here are the spoilers for the next chapter of TNT series based on William Brinkley's novel with the same name. Read on to find out what happens next.

The previous episode saw the aftermath of President Michener's untimely death. The death leads to several shocking twists and turns. Allison challenges President Michener's programs and Vice President Howard Oliver is sworn in as the new president. Meanwhile, Tom Chandler and Takehaya find common ground.
Moving on to "The Last Ship" Season 3 episode 9 "Eutopia." The network has released a synopsis for it suggesting what lies ahead of Tom Chandler and others. According to Spoiler TV's description, Chandler finally discovers an important lead that could help him find answers to "threatening questions." As his quest continues, fans can expect to see some positive progress for Tom Chandler.
Elsewhere, Kara, who is still unable to accept the death of President Michener, begins her own investigation. She looks for answers in the White House.
A promo video for "The Last Ship" Season 3 teases the events of episode 9 wherein Chandler goes against Peng. Chandler and Takheya want to stop Peng in his sinister plan. It turns out that Peng knows about Chandler's plan.
Fans must brace themselves for an action-packed episode as Chandler tries to save the world in the post-apocalyptic world. Also, the promo shows that the White House is on a lockdown as Chandler reveals that Peng knew that they were coming. Scroll down to watch the promo video below.
