"The Last Ship" Season 3 episode 4 airs July 3, Sunday. In the upcoming segment, Tom Chandler and his team members deal with all-new challenges and tackle the new problems. According to Spoiler TV's description for "The Last Ship" Season 3 episode 4, a new enemy will emerge.
After things became normal in the West, Tom Chandler arrived in Asia on President Michener's request. As he continues to find answers to the problem in the east, he comes face to face with the new enemy, who might become an obstruction in his mission. Meanwhile, the situation in the east worsens and President Michener feels the pressure.
Elsewhere, Slattery and his team members, who were abducted last week, find out more about the rumoured virus mutation. While they are still away, they find out how the mutated virus could threaten the world once again.

In an interview with Buddy TV, "The Last Ship" Season 3 showrunner Hank Steinberg said: "It's a dangerous world out there. The way we keep the audience on their toes, we have to lose people along the way to feel like every time they go out there, you don't know what could happen. We've had to lose some of our favorite characters and favorite actors in the process, but it's what keeps the show appealing and feeling real."
