2PM's Taecyeon has recently revealed his thoughts on the kissing scenes that he shared with "Let's Fight Ghost" co-star Kim So Hyun.
The singer turned actor was candid during a recent press conference where he joked about kissing the young actress Kim. Taecyeon currently stars in the tvN drama "Let's Fight Ghost" alongside Kim who is more than 10 years younger than the 2PM member. The musician plays the character Bong Pal, a college student who moonlights as an exorcist while the actress portrays the ghost Hyun Ji.
Avid viewers of the show may recall that the two South Korean stars already shared a kiss in an earlier episode of the tvN drama. Taecyeon jokingly stated he received a lot of feedback over the said kissing scene, Soompi reported. Kim's ghostly character is a high school student who has no memory of her past and how she died. She then meets the exorcist Bong Pal around five years after her death.
In the said kissing scene, Kim's Hyun Ji has been trying to convince Bong Pal to kiss her after an accidental lip smack made the ghost remember some of the details of her death. Taecyeon's character then decided to give in to her request so that she could join him in fighting other ghosts.
Elsewhere in the press conference, Taecyeon made mention of the age gap between himself and Kim. He confessed that given the 11 year age difference, the 2PM member has been "trying not to feel anything" when filming kissing scenes for the tvN drama. He also made mention of how viewers may notice how well he and his co-star both acted during the kiss scenes.
Taecyeon indicated that he considered the said scene as a big obstacle that both he and Kim has had to deal with in the drama. The singer shared that after the initial kissing scene, he felt that other acting challenges were minor compared to the said shot.
Meanwhile, Kim has previously commended her co-star for contributing to the light atmosphere while filming the tvN drama. In an Allure magazine interview, she stated that she learned a lot from the 2PM singer, allkpop reported. The young Korean star also shared her determination to become a good actress that fans and viewers will actively see in the coming years.
"Let's Fight Ghost" airs every Monday and Tuesday on tvN.
